The Washington Capitals are all doe for the season, and captain Alexander Ovechkin is back home in his home country of Russia, spending time re-connecting with his loved ones.

It's no secret that Alex Ovechkin had one of the greatest NHL seasons of all-time.
The Washington Capitals captain shattered Wayne Gretzky's all-time scoring record, cementing himself as the greatest goal scorer in NHL history.
While this feat was accomplished some time ago, it's still generating a ton of buzz around the world, especially in Russian media.
According to RMNB, Former Washington Capital great Alexander Semin did an interview with Sport-Express' Mikhail Skryl on Friday, and much of the talk gravitated to his time in DC and the exploits of his longtime teammate Alex Ovechkin.

Alexander Semin delivers big message to Alex Ovechkin

«No, I never thought about it,» Semin said in Russian to Sport-Express and per a translation by Google Translate. «And I think Alexander himself couldn't imagine it either. I don't think there will be such people in hockey in the next 100 years. In Ovechkin's case, everything came together: health, talent, and luck.»

According to Semin, what truly sets Ovechkin apart from the rest is his shot.
«Sasha just plays hockey, gives himself to his favorite thing to the end,» Semin said. «It must be admitted that he does it better than others. His shot is phenomenal, that says it all.»

«Let's be realistic: Ovi's style has changed,» Semin said. «He doesn't run like he did when he was 20. It's just impossible. But his scoring instinct and shot haven't gone anywhere. And scoring instinct is the most important skill in hockey. Goalies still can't handle Ovechkin's shot.»

How cool is that?
While Semin's tenure with the Capitals was brief, he still remains the only Caps' player other than Ovechkin to breach the 40 goal mark in a single season.
Regardless, this was a cool message from one of the Caps' all-time greats.
