Fan favourite Monumental Sports Network broadcaster Alexa Landestoy is getting ready for the most important time of her life. New reports confirm that Alexa Landestoy will be stepping away from the network for maternity leave as she prepares to welcome her baby.

What fantastic news!
Back in 2017, Landestoy got her big break after she landed a gig with FOX Sports as a sideline and arena reporter.
Landestoy rose up the ranks, landing another powerhouse job with Monumental Sports Network as the Capitals pre/postgame host in 2021.
Since then, she's won over the hearts of Capitals fans, providing top-notch reporting for everyone to enjoy.
Now, Landestoy announces her indefinite leave from the network as she takes on one of life's most important milestones -- motherhood.

According to sources, before last night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Landestoy was doing her usual pre-game reported when she suddenly surprised her loyal fanbase with the amazing news.
Not quite done yet, but we're officially on baby watch!🩷 This journey has been so special and I can't thank the @Capitalsorganization & everyone at @MonSportsNet enough for their endless support, it truly means the world!!

Good for her!
"It's been an exciting season for the Capitals and an exciting season for my husband and I as we are expanding our family,» Landestoy said in the video. «I'm sure you can tell from my growing belly that very soon we are expecting our newest addition. That means I'll be taking some time away. But I just wanted to thank you incredible Capitals fans for the amount of love and support that I've received, from the messages to most genuine baby gifts and baby blankets, baby girl is already so spoiled and from top to bottom our entire family here at Monumental Sports Network, they've supported me one hundred percent through this entire journey and I can't thank them enough. I'll be back when I'm ready but I know one thing is for sure, that baby girl will have her red on deck hoping for a very long Stanley Cup run.»

While she will certainly be missed on the network, we want to congratulate Alexa Landestoy on this incredible milestone!
