Vegas Golden Knights player involved in accidental staff injury
The Vegas Golden Knights managed to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, but it's a different incident that's grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons. Forward Tomas Hertl is under fire after a heated outburst on the bench accidentally led to one of his own staff members getting injured.
Even though the
Vegas Golden Knights sealed the win with just 0.4 seconds on the clock, it's safe to say no last-second victory can take away the regret Tomas Hertl is feeling right now.
Following a bad shift, Hertl is spotted on the bench trying to break his stick, where an unfortunate ricochet lead to a traumatizing injury to a member of the Golden Knights training staff.

The trainer, shocked, left the ice in a clear amount of pain to seek medical intervention.
Hertl's stick caught the trainer square in the head, and he was immediately seen clutching the spot of impact. When he returned to the bench, a noticeable gash was visible where the stick had struck.
It was obvious the blow had done some real damage.
Look, I understand that hockey is an emotional sport and accidents happen, but it's these kinds of incidents are completely avoidable.
Hopefully, Tomas Hertl has learnt his lesson - keep your stick on the ice!
The Las Vegas Golden Knights will look to even up the series tonight when they take on the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4.
