NHL reveals the start time for Game 5 between the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes
According to the NHL, Game 5 between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Capitals is set for Thursday May 15th at 7:00 PM ET.
Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes play Game 3 tonight
While the announcement for Game 5 has generated quite the buzz around the league, fans turn their attention to Game 5 tonight.
In Game 2, the Washington Capitals emerged victorious by a score of 3-1, and superstar
Tom Wilson will look to lead that charge again tonight.
According to the
NHL, Tom Wilson vowed that the Washington Capitals would play better in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Second Round against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. Then he did his best to make sure they did.
The 31-year-old right wing did a little bit of everything, from delivering big hits, making two potentially goal-saving shot blocks, assisting on the winning goal and scoring the clinching empty-netter in Washington's 3-1 victory at Capital One Arena that evened the best-of-7 series.
Following the game Alex Ovechkin made himself available to the media, highlighting the importance of Tom Wilson on the team.
«Obviously, he set the tone,» Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin said. «He's our leader. He plays smart. He plays physical. He scored a big goal. And in the playoffs, you have to play like that.»
