T.J. Oshie announces exciting new job
The Washington Capitals season is unfortunately over, and T.J. Oshie's absence from the lineup proved costly to the team. While Oshie is still recovering from a lingering back issue, new reports indicate the Caps' legend may have found a new jobas an ESPN analyst!
It's no secret that Washington Capitals legend T.J. Oshie has been sidelined on LTIR due to a nagging back issue.
For the entire 2024-25 season, T.J. Oshie watched his team succeed from the bleachers.
While his injury could be a career ending one, Oshie is keeping his options open, and his biggest opportunity comes in the form of a television analyst.
T.J. Oshie will be an analyst for Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars
According to sources, Oshie will be featured on the ESPN network as an analyst for Game 4 against the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers.
According to RMNB, The opportunity for Oshie comes several weeks after the Washington Capitals were eliminated by Carolina Hurricanes in the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Oshie spent entire season on longterm injured reserve due to a lingering back issue.
Despite not appearing in a game this season, Oshie still made his presence felt as best he could, making appearances at several practices and giving suggestions to Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery.
«[Spencer Carbery] says 'he's texting me all the time, coming up with creative practice drills, giving me observations,» ESPN's Emily Kaplan reported earlier in the year. «'TJ Oshie will be an excellent coach someday.'»
Oshie has always been a fan favourite in Caps' Nation, and he should be a total natural in front of the screen.
His combined charismatic personality, love for the game, and in depth hockey knowledge will make him an incredible analyst!
Congratulations to T.J Oshie on this incredible opportunity.
