UFC 315 took place on Saturday night at Montreal's Bell Centre, with a UFC Welterweight Championship clash between reigning champion Belal Muhammad and challenger Jack Della Maddalena headlining the pay-per-view event.

Before the fighters square off in Quebec, Sportsnet had several of the card's stars weigh in on a very different kind of battle that unfolded at the Bell Centre just a few weeks earlier.

The combat sports pros took a break from training to watch the Game 3 bench-clearing scuffle between Tom Wilson and Josh Anderson during the Capitals and Canadiens first-round playoff matchup.
Chris Cerullo from RMNB writes that the two power forwards delivered one of the most viral moments of the opening round, trading hits and grappling on the bench while NHL linesman Kyle Flemington clung on in a desperate attempt to break them up.
"How could you not love it in Canada?" 🇨🇦

Ahead of their bouts in Montreal, we asked the stars of #UFC315 to react to the Capitals-Canadiens brawl from the #StanleyCup Playoffs 👊
Here's the transcript from the video...
Aiemann Zahabi: Lacrosse is our national sport, they fight. Hockey's our national sport, they go at it. How could you not love that in Canada? Don't take our kindness for weakness in Canada, boys.

Jasmine Jasudavicius: A good bench brawl.

Alexa Grasso: Oooh.

Belal Muhammad: Oh, that ref's right in the middle of it. That ref's trying to be Dana White.

Jack Della Maddalena: Oh, they're getting into it in the player's box thing.

Brad Katona: None yet.

Belal Muhammad: They got some good grappling, okay.

Alexa Grasso: They're angry.

Brad Katona: Oh, no.

Jasmine Jasudavicius: They're going.

Jack Della Maddalena: That is cool.

Belal Muhammad: How come nobody else is jumping in? Ayy, that's epic.

Jack Della Maddalena: That'd be the best game to go to, right?

Alexa Grasso: And now all the team is.

Belal Muhammad: I would go to a hockey game for that. The one we went to there was, like, none.

Jasmine Jasudavicius: It's so crazy that I learned that there's, like a lot more technique to it than people really know.

Canadian-born Brad Katona was the only martial artist to critique the technique displayed in the clip. He faced Kazakh opponent Bekzat Almakhan in a bantamweight bout on the preliminary card on Saturday night's UFC event.
