Washington Capitals receive great news on Aliaksei Protas

Aliaksei Protas has been sidelined with an lower-body injury since early April, but has been making great progress this week. Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery said Aliaksei Protas is getting real close but remains a game-time decision ahead of Game 4 on Sunday night.
According to head coach Spencer Carbery, Aliaksei Protas is participating at full-speed and everything "looks good" for a return tomorrow night against the Montreal Canadiens.
Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas was taking part in line rushes in Washington's optional morning skate on Friday. On Saturday, however, he took an extra step in his recovery and was seen doing some light battle drills at practice.
All signs are indicating that he is inching that much closer to a possible return to play in Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday night.

He's still being closely monitored by the Capitals training staff, but seeing him taking part in some battle drills this morning is a very promising look ahead of Game 4.
The Capitals will look to get Protas back in their lineup as soon as possible following their 6-3 loss to the Canadiens on Friday night in Game 3.

The Capitals still hold a 2-1 series lead over the Canadiens. Puck drop for Game 4 is set for 6:30pm from the Bell Centre in Montreal on Sunday night.
