Washington Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary left Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders after blocking a shot in the first period of the game.

Tom Gulitti posted this video onto X where you can see the Capitals defenseman take a Bo Horvat wrister straight to his left foot. You can clearly see some discomfort from Fehervary as he tried to shake it off.
Here's what happened to Fehervary. Appeared to catch right skate and turn foot/ankle.
Stefen Rosner also took to X not too long ago to provide an update on Fehervary injury after leaving the game for a brief period.

Losing Fehervary would've been costly and catastrophic as goaltender Logan Thompson and forward Aliaksei Protas are already sidelined with injuries.
The Slovakian defenseman has 25 points in 80 games with the Capitals this season, tallying 5 goals and 20 assists.
Fehervary was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He was selected in the second round with the 46th overall pick. He is known for his physicality and strong hit statistics across the NHL.
Hopefully it's nothing too serious, because the Capitals can't afford to get any more injuries before the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs set to begin this Saturday.
The Capitals currently lead the Islanders 2-0 heading into the third period at the UBS arena in Long Island, New York.
While Fehervary returned to the ice, we'll still be keeping a close eye on the situation.
