The Russian winger is tied for the team lead in goals this season with 20, combining for a total of 39 points in 48 games.

Ivan Miroshnichenko was drafted 20th overall by the Washington Capitals in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft.

After a quiet February, Washington Capitals first-round prospect Ivan Miroshnichenko leads a balanced Hershey Bears offense in March with 12 points in 14 games.

The Russian winger picked up his offensive production in March. Miroshnichenko recorded a point in his first six games of the month, including three multi-point outings.
Eric Lord from Nova Caps writes that Miroshnichenko has scored the first goal of the game four times this season, the most on the team.
"In March, he compiled 12 points. Only Hendrix Lapierre and Pierrick Dube had more in the month." -Lord

Miroshnichenko kicked off March in impressive fashion, scoring twice in a 5-4 overtime win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on March 1. His first goal sparked a comeback from a three-goal deficit, while the second tied the game at 3-3.
The following night, he blasted a one-timer from above the left circle past Lehigh Valley's Keith Petruzzelli to open the scoring-a goal that would stand as the game-winner in a 4-0 Hershey victory. He also assisted on Hendrix Lapierre's first-period goal in that contest.
The second-year forward continued his strong play with assists in each of his next two games, then posted another multi-point performance on March 8 in Cleveland. He gave Hershey a 3-2 third-period lead with a power-play goal through the five-hole of Zach Sawchenko, and later set up Ethan Bear game-winner with the primary assist.
"Miroshnichenko added two more goals and two assists over the remainder of the month and now leads the team in opening goals, having scored the first goal of the game four times this season." -Lord

Hershey secured a Calder Cup playoff spot with a win over Chicago on March 16. As the regular season enters its final month, Hershey remains in first place in the AHL's Atlantic Division with 91 points and a record of 42-18-6-1.
The Hershey Bears won their 13th Calder Cup championship last spring and will try to defend their title in the coming weeks.
