Former Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov is feeling all the good vibes following SKA Saint Petersburg's 5-3 victory over Dynamo Moscow. Monday's triumphant victory marked Kuzy's first KHL playoff goal in over 12 years.

After a volatile year with KHL's SKA Saint Petersburg, Evgeny Kuznetsov is breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Minutes into the 2nd period, the former Washington Capitals forward found himself alone in the slot, ripping home a blistering wrist shot past the Dynamo goaltender.
In classic Kuznetsov fashion, the veteran Russian flapped his wings as he crashed into the boards to celebrate with his teammates.

This beautiful snipe by Kuzy marked his first goal for SKA Saint Petersburg since February 17th. After months of being left off the score sheet, one can only imagine how good this one felt.
Following the 5-3 victory over Dynamo Moscow, Evgeny Kuznetsov made himself available for his usual interviews, emphasizing the significance of his contribution.
«Volodya (Vladimir Alistrov) made a good pass, all that was left was to score,» Kuznetsov said of his goal to Match TV and translated by a Google Translation. «It was important for me that the team won. I went out with positive emotions, today the home walls helped, the crazy atmosphere.»

Additionally, the former Caps' forward made a post on his personal account, thanking his wife and his his kids for their unconditional love and support.
«Thanks to the fans for their support, as well as my beloved, who cheered on the stand with Yesenia and Fedor ❤️,» Kuznetsov wrote on Instagram. «Love you @anastasiakuzy92 🥰»

To make matters even sweeter, Kuzy had the honour of recieving the prestigious "Predator Mask" during SKA's renowned post game awards.

What a hilarious reaction! After a year with so many ups-and-downs, it's great to see Kuzy finally be rewarded.
While he's long since departed from the Washington Capitals franchise, I think I speak for everyone when I say we're truly happy for him.
Hopefully, Kuzy continues his strong offensive performance as SKA Saint Petersburg looks to close out Dynamo Moscow.
