One player in particular leading the way is Russian prospect Ivan Miroshnichenko, who's showing the league he's ready to jump to the pro level.
This season, the Washington Capitals stunned the NHL by finishing second overall in scoring.
While no one expected an astounding 288 goals from their high-powered offence, that statistic just scratches the surface.
Behind the scenes, even more offensive weapons are waiting for their chance to shine.
One of those rising stars is Ivan Ivan Miroshnichenko, whose standout performance in Hershey this year has solidified him as a player to watch.
Ivan Miroshnichenko sets career-high in Hershey
The hype is real -- and Ivan Miroshnichenko is making sure everyone knows it.
According to RMNB, the 21-year-old, who is oozing with talent, set single-season career highs in goals (23), assists (19), points (42), power-play goals (7), game-winning goals (4), shots (146), and shooting percentage (15.8 percent). Miro, whose aim was to score 30 times at the NHL level this season, would have hit 31 goals with the Bears if he had played all 72 games this season. He also recorded four points (1g, 3a) in 18 games with the Capitals.
On Saturday, Miroshnichenko followed that performance up with his fourth multi-goal game of the season. His first tally of the evening came 12:25 into the first period, tying Hershey with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 1-1.
If Ivan Miroshnichenko continues this impressive uptrend, it won't be long until we see him earn his shot at the pro level.
