According to Spencer Carberry, Logan Thompson will be missing "some games" While his update was brief, it's relatively encouraging.
Goalie injuries can often be catastrophic due to the awkward nature of their body positioning, so Carbery's update that Logan Thompson is only expected to miss a few games is encouraging -- it suggests he could return in time for the playoffs.
In the meantime, The Washington Capitals have re-called goaltender
Hunter Shepard from the Capitals farm affiliate in Hershey.
According to Carbery, Logan Thompson's absence presents an "opportunity" for Charlie Lindgren and
Hunter Shepard.
