Alexander Ovechkin drinking Bud Light after historic night has fans laughing
The Washington Capitals were firing on all cylinders last night as they edged out the abysmal Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 5-3. More importantly, Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin made history, tying Wayne Grtezky's all-time scoring record. That said, the beers were flowing freely last night, with new footage showing Alexander Ovechkin enjoying a well-deserved Bud Light after the game.
It's safe to say that last night was definitely a reason to celebrate.
Following Alexander Ovechkin's milestone game, the Washington Capitals held a Stanley Cup-like celebration in the locker room, showering Alexander Ovechkin with dozens of beers.
«Best shower of my life,» Ovechkin said after the celebration.
After Alexander Ovechkin's beer shower, Wayne Gretzky made his way to the locker room to congratulate him, and their interaction was absolutely hilarious.

After the press conference, Alexander Ovechkin kept the celebration going, unapologetically cracking open another beer to enjoy once the dust had settled on the evening.
«Alex has been so great for the city of Washington,» Gretzky said after the game. «He's been so great for the National Hockey League. And he's encouraged so many kids in his home country of Russia to play the sport of hockey. He's been nothing but a champion and I'm so proud that we're tied. I can live with that for 24 more hours. I can still say I'm tied for the most.»

Alexander Ovechkin will look to close out the record tomorrow when the Washington Capitals take on the New York Islanders.
