Following the incident that occured in Game 3, Gary Bettman and the National Hockey League have issued a warning to both teams ahead of Game 4 on Sunday night.
Clearly, the NHL believes that Game 3 was a bit too aggressive and have taken action to ensure that another brawl doesn't break out again in tonight's game.
Canadiens forward Josh Anderson and Capitals forward Tom Wilson were both fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct after their bench brawl on Friday. No suspensions were issued.
Here's what Renaud Lavoie reported earlier this morning.
The NHL told management of the Canadiens and the Capitals to be more careful during warmups, tv timeouts and after the end of a period. League didn't like the incidents that happened during last game.
Even with the warning being issued, I'm sure it won't be the last scrum we see between the Capitals and Canadiens. I'm personally hoping for a lot more because that's what playoff hockey is all about.
You can even ask Hall of Fame goaltender Henrik Lundqvist who gave him take on the TNT panel after the game on Friday.
When you look up the word hockey, what do you look for? You look for passion, energy, hits, saves, fireworks, goals. That's it, that's what we had, you had it all." -Lundqvist
