Not something Canadiens fans want to see happen to one of their star players ahead of tomorrow's pivital Game 5 matchup against the Capitals.

Cole Caufield goes down at practice on Tuesday.

The Canadiens' star forward gave everyone a scare after crashing hard into the boards during a drill, but thankfully, he seems to have avoided any injury.
Marc-Olivier Cook took to X after the incident and described it as a "very nasty fall in the corner of the rink." As he also mentions, the Canadiens really couldn't afford to lose Caufield on top of everything else, but everything seems to be OK.

Here's the English translation...
Scare for Cole, who had a very nasty fall in the corner of the rink. He's OK, though. The CH forward returned to center ice with a smile on his face. It would have been terrible news if the Canadiens lost Caufield as well.
Caufield has 3 goals and 4 points so far in these playoffs.
The Canadiens practiced at home in Brossard this morning before flying out to Washington this afternoon for Game 5 against the Capitals tomorrow night at the Capital One Arena.
Puck drop is set for 7:00pm as the Canadiens will do everything they can to avoid being eliminated this early into the playoffs.
