Dylan Stome's pre game ritual pays off in Game 2
Who knew that winning a game of rock, paper, scissors with a fan during pre game would pay off in a game.
Dylan Strome's pre game ritual of playing a game of rock, paper, scissors with a random fan pays off as he scores the game winner in Game 2 of their first round matchup against the Canadiens on Wednesday.
Pre-game rock paper scissors with Dylan Strome ✂️
Strome registered his first goal of the playoffs tonight with Washington's second goal of the game. The goal came from a nice passing play between
Anthony Beauvillier and
Ryan Leonard, who eventually found Strome all alone in front of the net.
DYLAN STROME HOW ARE YA?!?
Strome has been on an absolute tear in the first two games of the series. In Game 1 on Monday, he gathered an assist on all three of Washington's goals.
Strome is coming off a career season in Washington finishing with 82 points in 82 games. There's no surprise that his productivity has carried over into the playoffs.
Clearly, his pre game rituals have been paying off! I'm not sure, hoewever, if he'll be able to pull that off on the road in a very hostile Bell Centre crowd.
With their win on Wednesday, Washington takes a 2-0 series lead over the Canadiens. The series will now turn to Montreal for game 3 on Friday night.
Montreal will need to grind out a win at home for them to stand any chance of clawing back into this series.
Puck drop is set for 7pm Friday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal
