Following his team's elimination from the WHL playoffs, highly-talented Caps prospect Andrew Cristall is set to join the Hershey Bears playoff campaign mid-stream, hoping to add a Calder Cup trophy to his achievements.

The twenty-year old prospect will begin the pro-portion of his career, following a brilliant Junior career with Kelowna and Spokane of the WHL, where he scored 41 playoff points (21g, 20a) in only 19 playoff games.
Not too shabby. And there's more. Andrew's 2.32 powerplay points per game are the highest in the entire CHL among players to play at least twenty-five games.
The Hershey Bears will unquestionably benefit from his playoff prowess and scoring ability. In game 1 of the Atlantic Division Finals, the Bears only managed nineteen shots on the Charlotte Checkers
"Normally, I don't think that most incoming CHL players are capable of jumping into the Calder Cup Playoffs mid-stream - Cristall is an exception,"
tweeted top AHL reporter Patrick WIlliams.
Andrew is indeed an exception. He won the Bob Clarke Trophy in the 2024-2025 season as the WHL's top scorer with 132 points, only second all-time to Connor Bedard's 143 points, which he scored in the 2022-2023 season.
This young man's ceiling is sky-high. Andrew Cristall made league history when he became the first WHL player in the 21st century to reach 400 points. Washington Capitals fans should be very excited.
Now, his elite offensive talent can help the Hershey Bears immediately in their run to an AHL Championship, as they attempt to win their third Calder Cup in a row and effectively establish an AHL Dynasty
The Bears face the Charlotte Checkers in the Atlantic Division Finals. Remember the name Andrew Cristall; it should be plastered all over the score-sheet.
