Important details on Game 6 revealed if Washington Capitals prevail

The Washington Capitals are officially one loss away from being eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Capitals are gearing up for a heated showdown against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. Now down 3-1 in the series, the Capitals are staring down potential elimination as their season hangs in the balance.
With a Capitals win tonight, Game 6 will go on Saturday in Carolina.
Walt Ruff took to social media earlier today to announce when Game 6 will be played if the Capitals can scrape out a win and force another game in the series.
The NHL has announced that if necessary, Game 6 between the #Canes and Capitals on Saturday, May 17, at Lenovo Center will start at 8 p.m. ET.
The game would be available to watch on ABC and ESPN+ in the U.S.
Lars Eller is expected to be a healthy scratch and will watch
Game 5 from the press box.
Charlie Lindgren's status remains uncertain; although he took part in the morning skate, he may be unavailable due to personal reasons.
Alex Ovechkin will stay on the first line. The Washington Capitals skipped practice yesterday for a routine maintenance day.
The Capitals are out of margin for error, plain and simple. There's no way around it, and they'll need their star players to step up to stand a chance in getting back in their series against the Hurricanes.
It all begins with Game 5 on Thursday, scheduled for a 7:00pm in Washington, as the Capitals will try to hold off elimination and keep their season alive.
