The Washington Capitals are gearing up for a heated showdown against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. Now down 3-1 in the series, the Capitals are staring down potential elimination as their season hangs in the balance. In response, head coach Spencer Carbery has made several strategic adjustments in an effort to better match up against the Hurricanes - and the projected lines have finally been released.

It's do or die tonight at Capital One Arena.
The Washington Capitals are in survival mode, with their hopes of capturing a second Stanley Cup - after their 2018 run - now on the line.
While the Caps' have been outplayed for most of the series, head coach Spencer Carbery might have one last card to play. He's shaken up the lineup with some significant roster changes ahead of tonight's do-or-die game.

Washington Capitals announce starting lineup against Hurricanes

Charlie Lindgren's status for tonight's game is unknown. He participated in the morning skate, but could be unavailable for "personal reasons."
Alexander Ovechkin will remain on the first line. The Washington Capitals did not skate yesterday for a routine "maintenance day."
The puck drop is set for 7:00 PM ET.
