Is Aliaksei Protas ready to return for Game 3?
Aliaksei Protas (skate cut on foot) working with Capitals skills coach Kenny McCudden this morning.
Aliaksei Protas can be seen wearing a regular practice jersey, a clear upgrade from the non-contact one he's been wearing all week.
All signs point towards a promising return any day now for Protas, but I'm sure that we'll have to see him practicing with the rest of the team before we see him in game action.
Aliaksei Protas (skate cut on the top of his left foot) is doing some more skills work with Kenny McCudden before #allcaps optional practice.
He's still being closely monitored by the Capitals training staff, but it's encouraging to see him skating at near game speed again.
Protas will also be making the trip to Montreal, which is very promising.
Good sign for the Caps, as Protas will travel to Montreal, per Carbery.
We'll have more of an update on Protas for Game 3 once the Capitals take the ice for practice at some point either today or tomorrow in Montreal.
Puck drop is set for 7pm.
