Is Aliaksei Protas ready to return for Game 3?

The Washington Capitals are gearing up for Game 3 against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday, and all eyes are on forward Aliaksei Protas as he continues to rehab from his skate blade injury.
Over the past week, Aliaksei Protas has been gradually working his way back, easing into light skating sessions while wearing a regular practice jersey. Protas was seen skating again this morning in Washington with Capitals skills coach Kenny McCudden.

Aliaksei Protas can be seen wearing a regular practice jersey, a clear upgrade from the non-contact one he's been wearing all week.
All signs point towards a promising return any day now for Protas, but I'm sure that we'll have to see him practicing with the rest of the team before we see him in game action.

He's still being closely monitored by the Capitals training staff, but it's encouraging to see him skating at near game speed again.
With their 3-1 victory last night, the Capitals hold a 2-0 series lead over the Canadiens. After playing the last two games in Washington, the series will now shift to Montreal for Game 3 at the Bell Centre on Friday night.
Protas will also be making the trip to Montreal, which is very promising.
Good sign for the Caps, as Protas will travel to Montreal, per Carbery.
We'll have more of an update on Protas for Game 3 once the Capitals take the ice for practice at some point either today or tomorrow in Montreal.
