Defensively, Pierre-Luc had success with retrievals/60, successful exits/60, and exits with pressure/60, showing his ability to clear the puck under pressure in the D-zone.

According to Evolving Hockey, Dubois had an overall percentile rank of 92, 89 on offense, and 93 on defense, numbers that are in line with his complete, 200-foot game, and with other top NHL players, which the next stat also suggests.
