When the Washington Capitals acquired Anthony Beauvillier at the trade deadline, no one paid much attention to it.

The Washington Capitals acquired Anthony Beavillier from the Pittsburgh Penguins at trade deadline for a second round draft pick at the NHL trade deadline.
While it was a relatively low-risk low-reward, type of situation, Chris Patrick is showing that he might be one of the more brilliant general managers in the league.
Following a big win, head coach Spencer Carbery made himself available to the media, emphasizing the dynamic Anthony Beauvillier bring to the Caps' lineup.
«Yeah, [his speed is] noticeable,» head coach Spencer Carbery said postgame. «The pace he plays with - I've been really impressed. And not just with his speed, he's tenacious on the puck. He's not shy to go to hard areas and go into corners, net-front, all that. And that's helped. He's been a very, very significant addition to our group, I would say. That's what I've seen so far.»
