The Washington Capitals are feeling good after eliminating the Montreal Canadiens from the NHL postseason yesterday. But despite the positive mood, forward Tom Wilson met with the media yesterday and didn't hide his frustration about being left off Team Canada's roster at the Four Nations Face-Off Tournament.

Throughout the opening round of the postseason, Tom Wilson has made a strong case to the hockey world that he's among the league's elite players.
The Washington Capitals wrapped up their series against the Montreal Canadiens in just five games, and Tom Wilson has certainly shown Hockey Canada they may have made a big mistake leaving him off the roster.

Tom Wilson speaks out over Team Canada snub at the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament

After the last night's victory over the Montreal Canadiens, one reporter decided to spin the narrative, asking Tom Wilson his thoughts over being left off Team Canada.
«As the team got selected and stuff, obviously you're a little pissed off and you want to be there,» Wilson said. «I was sitting on my couch, and I turned on the game, and as that stuff was all going down, I was sitting there like, 'Holy, I want to be out there so bad.' Your blood started boiling a little bit, and it's an amazing rivalry, and just the game at its greatest.»

While Tom Wilson still harbours strong feelings over being left off the roster, he's still optimistic about future consideration, especially if he continues his strong performance during the playoffs.
«As a competitor, you want to be out there competing with your country,» Wilson said. «You always want to put that jersey on and go out there best-on-best. If it happens in the future, I'll be stoked. Obviously, it was great for the game of hockey. Everybody saw what a savage sport it is. Great skill, speed, and toughness on display. It was awesome.»

Tom Wilson's physical play has been widely seen as a key turning point in the series.
If he maintains this level of play, he could still make a case for both the Olympic team and another Stanley Cup.
More details to follow.
