Here we take a look inside the Capital One Arena's ongoing renovations, revealing plans for the Washington Capitals' locker room and its state-of-the-art therapy facility.

Monumental Sports Entertainment welcomed a lucky-few from the media to have a look inside at the upgrades, though right now the renovations are mainly focused on the event level, with the players' locker rooms and facilities.
The new and improved facilities will feature ergonomic lockers with drying systems, personalized storage, dressing areas, lounge spaces and eight new and functional training areas. The new facility will feature a recovery area with hot and cold tubs and compression therapy systems.
MSE will debut its Vault Suites by October, and event-level luxury suite with unlimited food and beverages, five-star catering and tunnels that will connect to center- and lower-bowl level tickets.
The first-phase changes will be ready when the 2025-26 season begins, while the remaining renovations will be completed over the next couple of years, during which MSE will transform both the interior and exterior of the arena.
Inside Capital One Arena, the primary focus will be on fan experience. Concourses will expand for more fan space, as well as more retail spaces, a 40% increase in the number of restrooms, and more than 60% in concession points-of-sales, which includes more variety and faster service.
The seats themselves will also improve, from the black to the blue seats, including cupholders and easier access. The Jumbotron will be replaced as well after a couple of seasons, with better viewing areas from across the arena's bowls.
On the outside, a new 'Grand Pavilion' will be added, a new state-of-the-art facility and hub that will serve as a multi-purpose event center for ticket holders; it will connect seamlessly to the arena, facility shops and the new team store.
The are in question is currently occupied by Gallery Place, where Regal Cinemas, Clyde's of Gallery Place and other shops and restaurants are located. MSE says the facility will not be torn down, but incorporated instead into the new plans.
The full renovation is expected to be completed by 2028.
