The Washington Capitals are gearing up for a fiery Game 3 playoff showdown against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight, and the NHL has just dropped the projected lineups for tonight's heavyweight matchup.

The stage is set for Game 3 tonight in Raleigh, North Carolina.
That said, the projected lineups for tonight's matchup have been dropped, let's take a closer look:

McMichael-Dubois-Wilson
Mangiapane-Eller-Raddysh
Duhaime-Dowd-Beauvillier

Chychrun-Carlson

After being a healthy scratch in Game 2, it appears that Ryan Leonard will sit in the press box again.

Forward Taylor Raddysh will remain on the third line alongside Andrew Mangiapane and Lars Eller.

After Game 1, head coach Spencer Carbery admitted to being open to making strategic adjustments to his lineup, and those changes a paid off.

After a successful Game 2 against the Canes', Carbery is sticking with the same winning formula.

After missing Game 2 due to "personal reasons" Charlie Lindgren is back in the lineup and travelled with the team to Raleigh.

Forward Aliaksei Protas is stil working to solidify his role on the team after recently returning from injury.

While he's currently slotted on the first line, don't be surprised if Spencer Carbery shifts him around to create favourable matchups.

The puck drop is set for 6:00 PM ET.
